These top ten Brisbane models are all proud Australians and have extensive and well-regarded fashion modelling careers. They are proof that opportunity is everywhere!

Alyssa Sutherland
Brisbane beauty Alyssa Sutherland was launched into stardom in early 1997. Alyssa’s career skyrocketed after she won a model search with Girlfriend Magazine. She then went on to become an ambassador for Vogue Australia. Alyssa has continued to feature in campaigns for large brands such as Calvin Klein, Chanel and Abercrombie & Fitch.
Outside of modelling, Alyssa Sutherland is known for her captivating character Aslaug on ‘Vikings’ (2013-2016). Her lengthy career has consisted of both film work and high-fashion runway. One of her most notable commercial campaigns was a Cadbury advertisement for the ‘Flake’ chocolate bar.
Catherine McNeil
Catherine McNeil’s modelling career began in early 2007. The alternative model is known for her tattoos and prestigious high-fashion career. She has walked in many fashion shows for name brands such as Balenciaga, Christian Dior and Yves Saint Laurent.
Catherine featured on the cover of V Magazine during the early days of her career. In the article, they predicted that Catherine would become a supermodel in no time. She then went on to shoot alongside Kate Moss for Versace. Catherine is a proud bisexual woman and was previously engaged to Australian model and actress Ruby Rose.
Mia Stook
Signed with CHIC Management Brisbane, Mia Stook has a captivating beauty unlike any other. An avid traveller and up-and-coming superstar, Mia is one to follow. The perfect face for a full glam-makeup look, Mia has worked with artists such as Makeup By Lira and Serena Wylie.
Mia has done commercial work for companies such as Eye Of Horus Cosmetics and DK Active. Mia keeps it real on her Instagram and posts photos of her friends and family, more so than her work as a model. A perfect balancing act between real life and work!
Narah Baptista
Signed with CHIC Management Narah Baptista is one of our favourite Brisbane models. Be it her fabulous figure or radiant smile, Narah is taking the industry by storm — all while enjoying the warm Brisbane sun. She has done work with Lahana Activewear, Jagger & Stone and Grace Loves Lace.
She is extremely passionate about yoga and beauty therapy. She encourages her followers and other Brisbane models to be “strong, powerful and fearless” without relying on or feeling confined to societal pressure.
Isabel Lucas
Actress and model Isabel Lucas has lived in many places around Australia. Although born in Melbourne, Isabel attended Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane. Isabel has since worked with some of the biggest names in the business.
Featuring in campaigns for Country Road and The Woolmark Company, Isabel has also had on-screen appearances alongside Chris Hemsworth and Henry Cavill. Isabel uses her platform as a model to shed light upon issues that matter to her. During October 2007, Isabel took part in a protest against dolphin culling in Japan. The protestors paddled out on surfboards in an attempt to stop the hunt and were ultimately chased out of the country by the Japanese police.
Sai Penwarn
Miss Universe Queensland finalist Sai Penwarn is the perfect addition to your Instagram feed. Sai grew up in Brisbane but has also spent a large portion of her teenage years living in India.
Signed with NEON Model Management, Sai plans to use her growing platform as a way to give back to her community. Her stunning looks and radiant personality make Sai Penwarn a woman to watch. We’re sure to be seeing more of her as she continues to gain experience within the industry.
Jacinda Barrett
Former fashion model and present-day actress, Jacinda Barrett is another Brisbane model search winner. In 1988, Jacinda applied for the annual Dolly Magazine Covergirl contest and won, launching her career. She spent the beginning of her modelling career working across Europe. After transitioning into acting, Jacinda wed ‘Suits’ actor, Gabriel Macht. Jacinda has had regular appearances on the show as his character’s love interest.
Jacinda uses her Instagram to spread environmental awareness alongside positive reinforcement. “Brisbane is very much a part of me and all my family are in Australia still,” Jacinda said in an interview with Courier Mail.
Amanda Ware
Signed with Elite Model Management, Amanda Ware was the winner of Australia’s Next Top Model, Cycle 6. Her season sparked controversy during the final when runner-up Kelsey Martinovich was accidentally crowned the winner. Amanda graciously shared her prize with Kelsey and the pair appeared on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar Australia.
Amanda has since done campaigns with Bonds and Levis and walked runways during New York Fashion Week. Amanda shares her passion for yoga and fitness with her followers on Instagram, she also holds private classes for fellow models signed with Elite.
Levi Miller
Brisbane born Levi Miller is a young model and actor. Well-known for his role as Pan in ‘Peter Pan’ (2015), Levi’s career is just getting started. Outside of acting, Levi is the current Global Ambassador for Ralph Lauren’s childrenswear campaign. He walked in the New York Fashion Week Show during 2015 and 2016.
His career as an actor is seemingly his primary focus as he continues to star in big films such as ‘A Wrinkle In Time’ and ‘Jasper Jones’ alongside Toni Collette and Hugo Weaving. We’re sure we’ll be seeing more of Levi as he represents Brisbane with his talent!
Nicole Thorne
No one knows how to pose better than social media superstar Nicole Throne. Nicole has an Instagram following of 1.4 million followers and is signed with NEON Model Management.
The Brisbane based model is currently Missy Empire ambassador and often shows off their unique bodysuits and comfort wear to her fans. Nicole has continued to frequently post photos showing off her fantastic physique and favourite lingerie pieces.
