When young Aymane Abou said stepped foot in our Melbourne studio in November, 2020 we knew he was going to be a shining star. Since then we have seen him go from strength to strength, working with several stand out brands in the commercial and fashion editorial modelling sector.  We caught up with him recently for a little Q&A session, you can read it below.

How did you find out about The Photo Studio?

My mum knew that I was interested in kickstarting my modelling career and after seeing an ad online, she prompted me to enter the competition The Photo Studio were running at the time.

How helpful was The Photo Studio in the initial phases of your entry into the modelling industry?

The Photo Studio helped me to build a really strong modelling portfolio with cool concepts. Their industry experience and advice helped me to create a portfolio that when agencies saw it, they liked what they saw.

What agency are you currently signed with?

I am currently signed with Viviens Modelling Agency, Melbourne and I feel really welcomed there.

Are you enjoying working in the modelling industry?

I really do enjoy modelling. It’s a fun and creative way to express myself & seeing the behind the scenes of it all versus the finished product is very satisfying.

What campaigns have you featured in so far?

I have worked in campaigns with brands such as Jay Jays, Country Road & Typo.

What type of Modelling are you focused on right now?

Right now I am working on commercial and fashion modelling for Australian brands.

What is your next big Modelling career goal?

My next big goal is to get into Fashion Runway modelling & to work with higher end fashion brands.

What was your favourite Portfolio photo & why?

My favourite portfolio photos were the ones of me in my white t-shirt as they were crisp and the overall aesthetic was pleasing.
