Meet The Gang | Heidi Anderson
It’s hard to label Heidi as anything but a creative energy who is passionate about everything she does! We sat down with Heidi last week to get to know her a little better and give you an insight into what makes her one of our most loved team members!
Hey Heidi, go ahead and give me a snapshot into who you are…
Well, I’m bubbly girl with a HUGE care factor for everyone I meet. I’m a big believer in expressing myself creatively through music (DJ), dance (I was cheerleading for the Roosters for a while), photography and fashion.
What is your most prized possession?
My fashion! I love collecting clothes.
What is your role here at The Photo Studio?
I’m a bit of an all rounder – Melbourne Studio Stylist, Booker and Trainer. Basically it’s my job to help people through the planning stage of their photo shoot, which is super fun because I get to really know a person in the process.
Wow so you have lots going on, what is it you love most about working here?
The team atmosphere! Everyone is really supportive and all have a great deal of passion towards photography. I love coming to work every day knowing my team is there for support and to see each and every client walking out with a HUGE smile on their face.
What’s the song you can’t stop listening to?
Kendrick Lamar ‘Alright’. Soooo good!
So what is it that makes a memorable client for you?
Someone who shares our passion and values what we do. I love the clients who get really excited about their shoot and spend lots of time preparing for it. I also love hearing about peoples experiences after the shoot – like success stories in the modelling industry and stuff.
Who is your idol? (And why)
Cara Delevingne, she’s just a ball of fun and I believe that’s me in a nutshell!
Have you had any career highlights so far?
The customer’s experience itself is a huge highlight for me. I believe customer service is a really important aspect of what we do. Most of the clients who write us reviews and testimonials don’t just mention the photography but also talk about the people they met in the studio. Reading about how we helped transform someone’s outlook on life is obviously very rewarding.
You’re a new addition in a crayon box, what colour would you be?
Beige! – I can’t get enough.
You must have seen a lot of aspiring models walk through our doors, what is one tip you would give to them?
I would advise every girl who wants to be a model to just take the step. There is that ‘exciting feeling’ to dream of being a model, but when the big day comes some people back down under pressure. I would also say steer away from the typical ‘Kardashian’ OR ‘Celebrity’ look and experiment with different styles… Someone who is versatile and can play around with a range of looks has an extra push through the door.
What’s your life motto?
“A whole new world…”
