Had you ever done a photo shoot prior to your shoot at TPS?
I had never done a photo shoot before my shoot with the photo studio, so this was my first! I had always wanted to do a shoot but I had braces for ages, so I didn’t really want to have a portfolio with braces on. But it was definitely worth the wait!
What made you want to get into modelling?
I don’t know, I’ve just always wanted to do it. I’ve always watched catwalks, especially the Victoria Secret runways and you see their lifestyle and you just want to be like that!
So we heard you’ve been talking to Chadwick models, how is that going for you?
Well my mum’s friend is a friend of one of the directors at Chadwick and they had seen a photo from my shoot on her Facebook page, so they asked to see the rest of my portfolio and we had a chat. However, being 165cm I was short of their height requirements which is a minimum of 172cm, but as I’m only 16 they told me to come back in a year. They also told me I would be great for catalogue modelling, which is really good to hear!
Who is your biggest inspiration?
For me, my biggest inspiration would have to be Mimi Elashiry – I love her and her work and you know she is really little and she’s gotten so far. So it’s a great motivation to see that someone with a similar height, can be successful in the industry.
What would your advice be to someone who is considering getting a portfolio?
My advice would be to definitely do it! It is the greatest experience and I loved it. My photographer was great and entire shoot was amazing!
What are your goals moving forward?
I mean I always wanted to do catwalk, but feel like it won’t happen because of my height. So I’m looking into catalogue modelling.
I think it would be great to do some catalogue modelling and I would love to do some work with online stores. I have already had a great experience with online store Pop Cherry and think that it’s great publicity and a good way to get yourself out there.
