Models Making Waves: Who To Keep An Eye On For 2020

Beyond the fun of doing a photoshoot we believe that everybody should have at least one photograph of themselves that they absolutely love! Perhaps it’s to share with others or to use online.

Maybe it’s to celebrate a certain moment in time or to show a fun side of yourself that you haven’t seen for a while. Whatever the reason, doing a photo shoot can come in handy and get a big tick off your bucket-list!

Adut Akech

Adut Akech spent a large portion of 2019 in the limelight, but she is still an obvious choice for 2020.

Named Modelsdot’s industry voted 2019 Model of the Year, Adut is only just getting started! The South Sudanese-Australian model continues to wow as she takes control of runways and fashion magazines across the globe.

Her presence on stage is captivating and her persona radiates with energy and positivity. Adut recently revealed via Instagram that she had struggled with depression through 2019.

She shared with her followers how important it is to take time for self-care. Always put yourself, mental well-being, peace, and sanity first.”

Adut was lucky enough to close the Haute Couture SS20 show for Valentino. She has also been on the cover of three Vogue issues. We can only imagine her successes this year will continue to grow. Adut Akech will be a household name!

Her personal life is often (and unfortunately) splashed across tabloids, but Kaia’s career is skyrocketing. During 2019, Kaia walked for Chanel and Valentino and closed for Givenchy.

Donatella Versace praised the up and coming model saying, “Kaia has a very special gift.”

Kaia will surely become one of this generations newest supermodels.

She is slowly joining the likes of Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner as she continues to appear on runways and magazine covers.

Ama Elsesser

Petite model, Ama Elsesser is following in the fabulous footsteps of her sister Paloma Elsesser. Ama is passionate about activism and is part of the LGBTQ+ community.

She shares her love for diversity alongside her sister who is an incredible representation for curvy women.

Ama describes herself as a “multi-faceted person and creative,” who doesn’t really fit into a mold.

Ama recently shot a UGG boot campaign featuring her sister and models such as Slick Woods. #UGGLife won’t be the last we see of Ama as IMG Models is now representing the up and coming model.
