What inspired you to do a shoot at The Photo Studio?
Hmm, well I saw photos online that i thought were wonderful and I had done modelling back when I was younger – so I thought, maybe after getting a portfolio I could return to do some mature age modelling.
Did you feel a boost of confidence after seeing your photographs in your viewing?
Most definitely ! It gave me an incredible boost of self-confidence. I certainly encourage any woman, young or old to get their photo shoot done! The photoshoot just reiterated to me that it doesn’t matter what you look like, its about embracing who you are.
Do you think it is important for mature women to get pampered and step in front of the camera?
Of course ! It provides you with a sense of empowerment. When you have children, you tend to lose some of your confidence in your appearance – so its definitely good for your confidence. You get dressed up, your hair and make up gets done, it makes you feel really positive and happy about yourself.
We hear you wanted to get back into modelling, have you since used your portfolio for any exciting things?
Well funny you say that actually ! I haven’t yet unfortunately, I’ve been very busy with my family. Before I start modelling again, I’m definitely coming back to the studio for another shoot. This time I’ll go for an edgy, rock look. I was wary how the photos would come out the first time, but after seeing them, I’m definitely excited for another shoot!
If there was anything you could tell your 16 year old self, what would it be?
Ooo. I never had confidence as a young girl, so all I’d say to my 16 year old self is to just believe in myself and my capabilities.
We know that you have 4 daughters. What is the most valuable lesson you that you have instilled in them?
To always be true to yourself; and that what you give in life, is what you get.
