Model Success Story | Georgia Wilkes

Agency: FRM

Georgia found us through social media and came to the studio her own photo shoot! Now she has been signed with FRM, we caught up with her for a little Q&A session, you can read it below!

How did you find out about The Photo Studio?

I found out about The Photo Studio through social media. I saw a few of their posts about the chance to participate in a photoshoot and the thought of the experience excited me so much that I decided to just go for it.

How helpful was The Photo Studio in kickstarting your modelling career?

Extremely helpful. I had never thought about myself as being a model, ever. Of course, it was something that sounded cool to me but I never had to confidence in myself that it would ever actually happen.

I went into the experience with a completely open mind, really only seeking the cool experience of the photoshoot and maybe using the outcome to use on social media to see what might happen there.

Without the photos or the people that I met from The Photo Studio I never would have been scouted.

What agency are you signed with?

I was scouted on Instagram by FRM Model Management and I’m now signed with Reel Faces – their commercial division.

Are you enjoying modelling?

As of right now I haven’t been featured in any campaigns. Which I expected with everything going on in the world right now.

However, the overall experience of being signed and meeting Stephen Bucknall and a few of the girls in his team was so welcoming and positive. I was welcomed with open arms and their faith in me was so re-assuring.

What kind of modelling are you doing now?

Because I am signed to FRM’s commercial agency I am available for casting for things like TV ads, clothing shoots and so much more.

What is your next big goal in your modelling career?

Well, being in lockdown (like many other people) I am online shopping with my favourite brands far more than I should be. It would be awesome to see myself on one of those sites.

What was your favourite portfolio photo any why?

There’s a photo where I’m sitting on a backwards chair and I have my chin on my hand.

I remember it was taken towards the end of the photo shoot. I had started getting really comfortable in front of the camera and I was having so much fun. When I first saw all the photos, I honestly couldn’t believe that the girl in the photos was actually me. The girl I was looking at was confident and so sure of herself. It wasn’t until I saw myself in that way, that I could really think of myself as being a potential model and really deciding that I had a goal of being signed to an agency.
