Featured Portfolio | Samsaam Syed Haider

Samsaam is originally from the small city of Rawalpindi in Pakistan’s capital city, Islamabad. He is an avid poster on his Instagram account, @_sam.haider_ , posting outfit shots for fun. His friends had always applauded his unique sense of style and were the ones who urged him to give modelling a try with us at The Photo Studio.

Samsaam had never modeled before he came in for a shoot. Leading up to the shoot he was excited, but nervous. He overcame his nerves on the day because of his friends. He explains, “my friends gave me strength and support, so I could give it my best shot on the day”.  We love how his friend’s support gave him the confidence to strut his stuff in front of the camera!

Samsaam describes his personal style as classy, with a hint of street style. He loves to create new styles by trying out different looks. His photo shoot had 3 key looks: casual, streetwear and formal. For his casual look Samsaam experimented with distressed textures, wearing ripped black jeans and a ripped grey jumper. To go with this look he added a simple white tee with the word ‘hoops’ printed on it and black and white sneakers. He opted for minimal accessories for this look, wearing a single silver wing earring or black stud.

For his streetwear look he sported a trendy blazer to inject class to his look. Blazers are a massive trend right now, and we love the blue blazer Samsaam wears in this look! This blazer features funky patches of a peace sign and the number 3. We love how these bring his personality to this look.

For his formal look, Samsaam experimented with colour by sporting a mustard coloured button up shirt. He balanced this out with beige tailored pants and simple sneakers. We love how he changes up this look by altering his accessories. He wears glasses with circular frames in some shots, reflective aviator sunglasses in another shot and a white beanie in others. Samsaam shows us that you don’t need to wear a whole new outfit to create diversity in your portfolio – all you need to do is switch up your accessories!

Samsaam told us that his photo shoot was the best experience he has ever had. We are so glad that his first experience modelling was a positive one!
