Erin Parker grew up in a family of 7 kids in the Dandenong Ranges. She says that this shaped who she is, as she loves being around people. She is a self-described ‘sponge for information’, using books as a means of escape. She is currently working full time and can’t wait to head to university soon to study Interior Design.
Erin has undergone a style evolution. She has moved from following trends to taking fashion risks, experimenting with edgy fashion items whilst still retaining comfort. Instagram informed this shift, ‘I’m constantly scrolling through my feed, screenshotting outfit ideas’, Erin explains. Her 6 looks during her photo shoot serve to demonstrate her style progression: cute and classic, to edgy and daring. We love that Erin’s portfolio shows that she is not one dimensional, but is versatile – just like her style.
Erin’s shoot had 6 key looks: casual, edgy, urban, summer, winter and daring. She wanted to stay true to herself, so chose outfits that were comfortable and reflected who she is. A lot of her looks showcase her tattoos, which she designed herself. Whilst her tattoos don’t necessarily have meanings, they piece together her overall look and help convey what she wants to put out into the world.
For her summer look Erin wore a strappy mini dress with peach coloured stripes. We love how she dresses down this look by wearing comfortable sneakers. For her casual look she chose to wear a cropped striped T-shirt with denim skinny jeans and sneakers. Simple clothing pieces like this allows Erin’s natural beauty to shine through in photos. In her next few looks, Erin schools us on how to create versatile shots by changing only a couple of items of clothing. For her edgy look Erin rocks a cropped graphic skull print tee, a black choker and big hoop earrings. Her black mini skirt gives us urban vibes with it’s lace-up detailing and chunky belt. In some shots she adds black Ray Ban sunglasses to mix up the photos.
To create her urban look, Erin simply switched her graphic tee for a black sheer shirt which shows her black lace bralette underneath. By changing her shirt she creates a whole new look! It’s as simple as that. She does this again in both her winter and daring looks, taking off the grey rollneck jumper from her winter look to reveal her lace black bralette underneath for her daring look. By bringing staple clothing items as well as unique pieces to her shoot, Erin was able to create great variety in her portfolio.
We wish Erin well in her future studies and look forward to seeing all she achieves in the future.
