Behind the Behind the Scenes
Strangely enough behind the scenes photography is actually one of the hardest types of photography to nail. The biggest challenge is getting all the action into a single frame.
Typically on a photo shoot the photographer stands some distance from the models, the makeup artist is off to the side and the stylist is busy steaming clothes. So how can you capture all the action that’s really going on in a single photograph?
Well… Do you want to know the truth? Can you handle the truth? We stage it… In these behind the scenes photos the photographer Hannah is not actually shooting the models. She’s just posing as a photographer. I mean, she is really a photographer… And an awesome one at that! But in this case her camera isn’t even turned on 😀
That’s the only way that we can get awesome shots of the photographer and models right up close and personal. But not all of our behind the scenes photography is staged. Only the big glamorous money shots that we used for our advertising and brochures. Everything you see on our Instagram for example is snapped by our studio assistants during real life fashion shoots.
