Fitness modelling is a rapidly growing and highly competitive industry. Though it’s a relatively new category of modelling, fitness models are now just as in demand as beauty or fashion models. With a plethora of successful fitness models that have turned their passion for exercise into a lucrative career, we’ve listed our top ten female fitness models of 2019 that are sure to dominate our feeds and provide endless inspiration.

1. Laura Henshaw

Australian based fitness star Laura Henshaw is first on our list of top 10 female fitness models of 2019 due to her insane work ethic. On top of her impressive fitness and diet regime, Laura has co-authored a book about body-confidence, A Girls Guide to Kicking Goals, with friend and fellow fitness model Steph Claire Smith. The pair also collaborated on a workout and clean-eating app called Keep it Cleaner, which debuted at number one on the Health & Fitness app store. Laura has recently landed the cover of Women’s Health magazine and has been signed to Chadwick Models, so she’s certainly one to watch.

2. Sophie Guidolin

Adelaide-born fitness model Sophie Guidolin quickly gained a sizeable following after losing a whopping 30 kilograms after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes during her pregnancy. Sophie has authored 8 E-books on health and nutrition, and is also the co-creator of incredibly popular 12-week fitness program ‘The Bod’.

Credited by Forbes Magazine for starting the Insta-Yogi movement, Jessamyn has worked hard to prove that fitness modelling isn’t a one size fits all. She frequently uses her social media platform to speak out against body-shaming and to promote body-inclusive fitness, and has achieved major success with her E-Book ‘Every Body Yoga’.

The other half of Keep it Cleaner, Steph encourages her followers to listen to their bodies and set realistic fitness goals in order to maintain their physique. She has also been signed to Chadwick Models, and is the face of Bondi Sands tanning company.

Emily Skye developed her online presence 8 years ago, when she would post fitness and workout tips on her BlogSpot account. Today, she is one of the most recognizable fitness models, having developed a popular fitness program in her name. In recent years, Emily has been signed by Khloe Kardashian as a Good American denim model and has also landed the cover of Women’s Health magazine.

Having been featured on the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine, and heavily featured as a model for Good American denim, it seems that Tammy’s modelling career is only going to go up from here.

Australian-based personal trainer, author and model- Kayla Itsines has been listed as one of the 30 most influential people on the Internet by Time Magazine. Her series of fitness ‘Bikini Body Guide’ e-books have seen major success, as well as her workout app Sweat With Kayla which was the most financially successful fitness app of 2016.

8. Jen Selter

After documenting her fitness journey on Instagram while working front desk at a gym, Jen Selter quickly rose to fame and has established herself as one of the top fitness models. She has been featured on the cover of Women’s Health magazine numerous times, and has also launched a successful training program which has helped many of her followers achieve their fitness dreams. Having established her fitness empire as early as 2013, Jen is one of the O.G fitness models and is still growing more successful with each year.

Listed as one of the top fitness influencers of 2017 by Forbes Magazine, Michelle Lewin is one of the most influential people in the fitness modelling industry worldwide. Though she has previously modelled for dozens of fitness and health magazines, her empire doesn’t stop there- she is also the owner of her own line of fitness supplements and home-workout equipment.

At only 22 years of age, Sommer Ray is at the top of our list of top 10 female fitness models of 2019. After documenting her fitness journey on Instagram in 2015, she quickly shot to fame and started receiving brand deals. Sommer frequently encourages her near 20 million followers to embrace their natural beauty, and to build their body naturally through fitness- a tactic that has helped her secure a major fanbase. She has modelled for big-name outlets like Cosmopolitan and Maxim Magazine, and has also developed her own fitness app, Evolve Fitness, and clothing line. Given her rapid rise to fame, it seems the sky is the limit for Sommer Ray.

Those ladies are just so natural, and not even a hint of surgical enhancement. An inspiration to anybody who dreads looking in the mirror after getting out of the bath. Or who just dreads getting a bath because there’s no room for the water.
