Jordan Barrett @iblamejordan
Known as the today’s ‘young Leonardo DiCaprio’, Jordan Barrett has been titled as ‘Model of the Year’ for models.com and “Model boy of the new era” by Vogue.
The 23 year old from Byron Bay was undoubtedly born to be a model. Just have a look at his striking features – golden hair, olive skin, fierce blue eyes, heart shaped pout, high cheekbones and razor-sharp jawline… No wonder he was signed to IMG models at just 13 years of age! Legend has it, he was signed after being caught shoplifting at a convenience store by a talent scout who passed him a business card and encouraged him to become a model (interesting, hey). He has also been signed with Kult Modelling agency, but has returned to IMG. Barrett is also represented by Kate Moss Agency in the UK, as well as mega-agency CAA in the USA. At the ripe age of 22, Barrett has been majorly successful as an international model, appearing in campaigns for top brands such as Tom Ford, Coach, Balmain, Tommy Hilfiger, Moschino and Versace.
Back at home, Barrett has created a unisex capsule collection with SIR the Label, and has started participating in acting gigs such as Burn, a new TV series by Gadir Rajab (an Australian director who has been successful in working with projects from Adidas to Justin Beiber). According to a previous interview with Vanity Fair, Barrett finds acting “challenging.. but like therapy almost”. He has appeared in music videos for Kanye West and Fergie.
