Tanisha’s fashion photo shoot is eclectic, bold, and out-of-this-world cool, just like Tanisha herself. We can’t take our eyes off these amazing shots!

Tanisha doesn’t draw style inspo from anyone but herself—although she does love to look at the latest trends on Instagram. Hailing from Jakarta, she says she became interested in fashion when she was younger by observing the Jakartans’ unique style: simple and modern, but still a little boujee. She loves to buy pieces for her wardrobe from Jakartan brands so that she can feel connected to her home city. Her everyday, go-to outfit is a simple oversized-tee-and-Vans combo; that’s why she wanted an editorial-type shoot that would show off the more creative side of her style, which she doesn’t get to display in her regular day-to-day.

Tanisha’s shoot is full of bright colours and pieces that not many others would even think to put together—but, of course, Tanisha totally rocks them. Her first look consists of nude heeled ankle boots, striped wide-legged culottes, and an oversized denim vest over a simple black bralette. She ties the outfit together with pink aviator sunglasses, a black bandana around her neck, and tons of silver statement rings. Her hair and makeup—neon pink eyeliner and braids—transform Tanisha into what she accurately and hilariously describes as “ASAP Rocky’s adopted daughter”. Her second look is a little more toned down: a plain black jumpsuit, a black and gold belt with a statement buckle, and black ankle boots. Simple, classy, and chic!

Tanisha is a dancer, choreographer, model, film photographer, and aspiring journalist/PR agent. We loved having Tanisha in the studio; she has such a chill vibe and she’s beyond creative!
