Originally starting his music journey as part of the pop group Titanium, Zac had early success with a number one single and performing in venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York.

My name is Zac, I’m 28 years old. I was born in New Zealand and am from a small town called Whakatane. I am a professional singer/songwriter, actor & Creative Producer here at The Photo Studio in Melbourne. I love all things Creativity and am always up for a chat!

Q. Tell us about your journey within the Music Industry

I’ve been singing since I was 6 years old. I competed in various singing competitions that took me all over the world while also performing in musical theatre for 8 years. After finishing high school I joined a pop group called Titanium and was signed to Warner Music. We released 2 albums and 10 singles performing all over Australia, New Zealand and The United States. Our first song went number one in New Zealand and later gained double platinum status. After 5 years of recording and touring with the band I decided to leave and began working on my own music as a solo artist. I continue to write and release music as Zac Taylor.

Q. How did you end up at The Photo Studio?

Coming out of lockdown I was eager to find a new opportunity that allowed me to not only be creative but work with other creatives. That’s when The Photo Studio popped up. I jumped at the chance to be surrounded by like minded people.

Q. What do you like about the modelling, fashion and photography industry?

I love the impact that all three have on the world. How a photo or particular outfit can inspire someone to change their life.

Q. Have you ever had a professional photo shoot before?

Being in a boyband comes with a lot of photo shoots! So, yes I have.

Q. What is your secret to choosing the perfect photo for a Portfolio?

Whenever I’m helping my clients with their Portfolios, I ensure that whatever we are choosing together – that it makes us feel something. I want the photo to make you think and want to know more about the person or their story.

Q. What is your favourite quote?

There are many quotes I love but one that comes to mind is from my favourite book “The Alchemist”.

“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”

Q. What inspires/motivates you?

The way I feel when I’m being creative, inspires me to keep going and reach higher.

Q. How do you overcome nerves before a performance, Photo shoot or song?

I just ensure that I am fully warmed up and ready, so I know I’ve done all the right things to prepare myself for the job at hand.

Q. Tell us about your NEW Song coming out tomorrow!

I am Releasing a new song on the 10th of December called “Letting You Go”. It speaks to a journey of self-discovery; a perspective unfolding from a realisation of what truly matters. The tasteful melodies call for new beginnings, representing the universal experience of a need for letting someone go. A comforting and free flowing chorus invites us to accept that sometimes we need to take a step back in order to find a new way forward. This comes with its own challenges but the essence of the song reminds us that when we conquer these challenges, new roads open and it is up to us in the driver’s seat to navigate where we go.
