This week we’re mixing it up, with our very first family Portfolio of the Week!

We first met David at the Royal Melbourne Show last year and he was lucky enough to win a free shoot for him and his family! So earlier this year, to conclude a month long holiday spent at the beach, David and Rayleigh brought the family in to get some awesome family shots.

David came in with a clear aim to get photos of his family that he and his wife could showcase in their home. From the get go, everyone had great energy. With a huge family of seven, all hands were on deck!

We love family shoots because we get to mix it up and have some fun. We started out casual, keeping in line with the summer season and ended up with a super cool setup. We used a bright backdrop, styled the kids in Funky Trunks and used oversized shoes and a pink flamingo as a prop. How cool!

All fun and games aside, photographer Mette was able to capture some beautiful family moments. We’re sure that the Whitling family will treasure these photos for years to come.

The family had an absolute ball during the shoot and we certainly loved having them in the studio!
