Model Success Story | Eve Stansfield

Agency: Bella Management

Eve came to our studio for her Model Portfolio photo shoot and since has been signed with Bella Management and Non Airbrushed Me Management. We caught up with her for a little Q&A session, you can read it below.

How did you find out about The Photo Studio?

I heard about The Photo Studio via Instagram. They were running a curve model search. With my journey of body acceptance and being encouraged by my sister, I entered. I did not win the competition, but decided I still wanted to do a shoot so contacted them and the rest is history.

How helpful was The Photo Studio in kickstarting your modelling career?

The Photo Studio helped in a couple of ways.

  1. They helped me create a beautiful portfolio to show to prospective agents.
  2. They gave me time in front of a camera and a lot of support to help build my confidence.
  3. And Lastly, a lot of advice on how to achieve my goals and apply to agencies

What agency are you signed with?

I am signed with Bella Management (@bellamanagement) and Non Airbrushed Me Management (@nonairbrushedmemgmt).

It’s absolutely crazy because Bella was my dream agency (they had all the beautiful curve models I would see when shopping in my size) and I had been Following Amber’s @nonairbrushedme movement forever. She was integral in my journey of learning to accept and love my body.

Are you enjoying modelling?

I actually cannot believe I get paid for these jobs. I get my hair and makeup done, spend the day with the loveliest people and get to try on all the newest clothes.

Any campaigns you have featured in?

I haven’t done too much yet but last week I shot ecommerce and digital for Best & Less. Seriously, can’t believe that actually happened. Pinch Me! I can’t wait to see it!

What kind of modelling are you doing now?

I am a curve (plus size) model. I have mainly done ecommerce but with more experience I might get some campaign work!

What is your next big goal in your modelling career?

My goal is to represent women who up until recently hadn’t seen their body type represented in the media or when shopping online. The average woman in Australia is a size 14-16. I am a size 16-18. It’s my goal that more and more people can see someone who looks like them in the media or when shopping. With the increasing acceptance and demand for models my size, hopefully we can see an increase in diversity across all areas, size, skin colour, shape & disabilities. It will be a beautiful thing when the models used, represent society.

If you want to know my dream Client, it’s probably City Chic. They were the first brand I found that actually sold clothes designed for bigger women and let me feel stylish and beautiful without trying to squeeze my body into clothes that were too small. To model for them would be amazing and I would really feel like I made it.

I would love to work for more beautiful diverse brands, do something creative or walk a runway.

What was your favourite portfolio photo and why?

It’s hard to pick my favourite photo from my TPS shoot. So, I will give you a couple. The photo with the leaves flying everywhere was the craziest experience but the photos turned out incredible!

I love the photo where I’m squatting down which shows off my curves and makes me feel empowered and glamourous.
