QUICK Q&A
How did you find out about The Photo Studio?
I found out about The Photo Studio through Instagram. As far as I remember, I saw they were doing a search for people interested in a photoshoot and applied! I got a phone call a few weeks later and organised everything through there, it was a lovely experience all around – I felt very professional in the setting and all those working with me were amazing. Being there felt like it was a massive step in the right direction since I had been having a hard time getting my feet up from the creek and into the industry as an older model, the last time I’d really been deep in it was as an 8 year old and had given up on doing it seriously; I’m 18 now so the saying that it’s never too late to start again was really valuable in my case!
How helpful was The Photo Studio in starting your modelling career?
The photos I received from my shoot were extremely helpful in allowing me to apply for different agencies, it was significantly better for me to apply with the professional images rather than using ones I’d taken myself or old ones from years ago. They really helped show my dedication and that I wanted to take this career seriously, my producer, Alana, was the one who referred me to the agency I ended up signing with as well – the staff of The Photo Studio really know their stuff and were honestly so helpful.
What is your next big goal in your modelling career?
What was your favourite portfolio photo and why?
My personal favourite images are the ones in the neon light with the yellow jacket! I love the vibe they give off, to me they feel very modern and almost futuristic in a way; they really make me feel like I’m living out my ‘cyberpunk’ dreams. The colour scheme of the photos is coherent and the lighting is so vibrant that it’s really an eye catcher, of the three I’m torn between the one where I’m leaning on my knee or the close up as a favourite, they’re all so good (the photos in the suit come in a very close second).
