Male Modelling: What To Wear For A Photoshoot
‘What should I wear to my shoot?’ is often the question that leads to us overthinking what is actually, quite a simple task. Here at The Photo Studio we make sure our clients are always prepared before the day of their shoot! Here is our simple 3-step checklist for preparing your photo shoot outfits!
Every Photoshoot Needs A Casual/Laid Back Look

You always want to start with something plain and simple, White tee & blue jeans for example.
This allows you to get a feel for the camera and find your groove.
Casual outfits also make for great portraits and natural lighting shots.
A photo shoot can be the perfect time to experiment and push the boundaries a little.
You’ve taken the first step by showing up now let’s create something different.

Fitness Modelling is Huge, So Don’t Forget That Active Wear!

Now depending on your preference these two styles are a good place to start with your second look.
Streetwear is a great way to layer in clothing allowing you to have more variety within the one look. Black Jeans, Tee of choice and a jacket to throw on and off.
I would add my favourite pair of sneakers or even a nice pair of boots to compliment the look.
Activewear seems to be a very popular choice for outfits these days and can be fully customised to your liking. Your favourite pair of shorts, Gym shoes and a singlet or even a muscle tee.
Overall you want to be comfortable so always wear clothing that makes you feel good. If you’re feeling adventurous remember this is an activewear look so feel free to flex those gains.

Everybody Needs a Formal Look to Finish Off Their Photoshoot With A Bang

If you have decided to shoot 3 outfits then a formal look is always a good final option.
Bust out that suit you’ve been meaning to wear for months or even hire something that you think looks great.
A formal look doesn’t have to specifically be a suit and tie, it could be a nice pair of chinos coupled with some dress shoes, a belt and a fitted dress shirt.
You may even have your own thoughts on what a formal look is GREAT! Wear that.
