Featured Portfolio | Dakota and Dawson Green

Siblings Dakota and Dawson came into our studio to experience modelling for the first time. They both have their own unique sense of style and were total naturals in front of the camera!

Dakota is Dawson’s older sister and has fond memories of spending time with him as a baby. ‘He was so cute and it was so easy to make him giggle!’, she recalls. Dawson’s favourite memory with his sister was a kayaking race last Christmas when they were both gifted kayaks. Dakota and Dawson hopped in one kayak, and their mum in another. The pair raced their mum, paddling hard to beat her. But they ended up flipping the kayak instead! ‘We laughed so much that day’, Dawson recalls.

Dakota’s style is inspired by Zendaya, Jenny Ortega, Skai Jackson and Mackenzie Ziegler. She loves that they wear clothes that are her style – comfy and casual. But more than their fashion sense, Dakota looks up to these girls because they are positive role models who are first and foremost beautiful on the inside. Just like her fashion icons, you won’t find Dakota in crazy girly clothes. She explains, ‘I prefer to be comfy and cool in jeans and shorts, ready to go on any adventure’.

Dakota is used to taking selfies, pulling silly faces and smiling into her phone. But this shoot allowed her to explore a greater range of emotions on camera. She didn’t just show her fun side, but her serious side as well. Looking back at the photos of her from the shoot, Dakota loves that the fun she felt on the day came through. This is Dakota’s favourite photo because it represents how she felt on the day – happy and relaxed.

Dakota doesn’t know what she wants to do in the future just yet. All she knows is that she wants to be happy and successful, enjoying whatever she ends up doing. At the moment she is enjoying textiles and learning about the processes involved behind the scenes in creating clothing. This could be a potential career path she may follow. Modelling may also be in the cards for Dakota. She had so much fun during the shoot and loved the experience, so we may see her modelling in the future too!

Dawson’s style inspiration is Jaden Smith. He loves how Jaden’s style is completely unique. ‘He doesn’t look like he cares what people think and looks like he is always having fun’, he explains. Dawson’s hair even used to look like Jaden’s hair in the Karate Kid movie!

Dawson loves this photo because it makes him look like a real model. He feels cool in this photo and loves how he is showcasing his clothes.

In the future, Dawson hopes to still be doing all the sport he is doing now. He swims, plays football and basketball. He would love to represent Australia for one of these sports someday. He is also interested in gaming and YouTube. We might see him with a YouTube channel showing people how he plays video games and sharing parts of his life online.

We loved having Dakota and Dawson in the studio! They were so much fun to work with and have incredibly bright futures ahead of them. We look forward to seeing all they achieve in the future!
